Catherine Winder
Catherine has worked as both a producer and an executive in feature film, home video and television animation. Currently, as Executive Producer for Lucasfilm Animation, Catherine oversees the studio’s development and production of CGI animated television and feature film projects, including its first animation project—a cutting edge, 30-minute, 3-D animated Star Wars series intended for television in the Fall 2008 season.
She most recently ran her own consulting business, coaching independent producers to help prepare their properties to pitch and market, and guiding larger clients in the areas of production planning and business strategy. Winder also co-authored the book “Producing Animation” for Focal Press.
As Senior Vice President, Production for Fox Feature Animation, Winder was responsible for production oversight of the Oscar nominated film "Ice Age". Prior to Fox Feature Animation, Winder co-founded an animation studio for HBO and as Vice President of HBO Animation she produced Spawn and Ralph Bakshi’s anthology series Spicy City. Prior to HBO, Winder garnered her first producing credit at Colossal Pictures where she set-up a unit to produce Aeon Flux, the animated series for MTV.
Winder began her animation career at Disney TV Animation Japan and then moved to Hanna-Barbera/Turner Productions, where she oversaw all domestic and international production of made for TV movies, television series and shorts for many international territories. Some of her credits during this tenure include the original animated pilots for the Cartoon Network’s Dexter’s Lab, Johnny Bravo, and The Power Puff Girls.
A native of Toronto Canada, Catherine lives with her husband and two children in San Rafael, a small city in Northern California.
